Founded by the CFI, this six month course is designed to support the next generation of photojournalists in Nigeria. During the first workshop, courses will focus on technique, as well as the history of African photography, ethics and visual literacy. Participants will be asked to develop a personal project around national unity and the 2023 elections, on which they will work with a professional coach for a period of five months. During the second workshop, participants will learn how to pitch a story to editors, how to put on an exhibition, how to speak confidently in public and how to present their work to a wider audience.

This workshop is aimed at young professionals under the age of 35. Aspiring participants will undergo a rigorous selection process. (Picture literacy, selection on published pictures, motivation letter and recommendation).

Priority will be given to North and South and gender equality.
